On The Beach Holiday Apartments

"Fabulous location right behind life saver flags and seasonal stinger net. 300 m to central shops, but lovely restaurant next door opens 7 am until late. Parking tight, but adequate. Second level has best views. Units show their age, but well maintained. Quirky showers with views out (and in). Great staff."

"I stayed in a One Bedroom unit at On the Beach (OTB) for seven nights 2nd to 9th June 2023. I had previously stayed there 5th to 11th June 2022. On the 2022 visit the noise from the upstairs unit was an issue so for the 2023 visit I requested the highest floor possible. OTB were very good and gave me a unit on the top (3rd) floor. and the noise was considerably less with no upstairs neighbour. OEB were able to let me check in one hour earlier than check-in time which I really appreciated. OTB is in an excellent location, walking distance to restaurants and opposite the beach swimming enclosure. The unit was very clean. The bedroom air-con did not work on either of my visits but the split system in the front of the unit is very effective and cools the entire unit. There is ample covered parking and there is never an issue finding a space. I am not sure if there is new management but the mature man who checked me in was dressed very casually and was unshaven. When I saw him around the grounds I waved to him and he looked right through me. When I checked out, the mature man was in the office and did not even acknowledge my presence. That day, there was a younger man on reception duties and was very professional and asked how my stay had been."

"I was tempted to give 5 stars but I’m holding off 1 star for the slightly-dated interior and AC (although the centralised AC was working well and was very comfortable). Otherwise I’d give 5 stars for the sheer size of the apartment and it’s spectacular location (we stayed in the 3-Bedroom apartment complex with beach facing balcony). The security lock on the ground floor main entrance door was a bit annoying ( the key needs to be turned with the door pulled and both action needs to match a certain position for the key to turn fully and unlock the door to enter the building…..as if like they show in movies where thieves manipulate the movements of a vault dial lock to hear THAT click and they smile claiming to have cracked the lock…..LOL)"
