Our story dates back to the 1950s when Ross McCartins began his career as a cadet auctioneer at the renowned Australian Mercantile Land & Finance Company (AML&F). With years of experience under his belt, Ross and his wife Jocelyn opened their Auction Centre in 1971, which has since become a thriving operation. Alongside our auction center, we also operate a retail secondhand business at our South Townsville premises.
Every alternate Thursday, we conduct regular fortnightly auctions, offering a wide range of items for sale. From furniture to home decor, appliances to collectibles, you'll find an extensive selection of quality secondhand goods at our auctions. Additionally, we specialize in On Site Liquidation, Deceased Estate, Motor Vehicle & Machinery, and Closing Down auctions.
We are proud to be the authorized Queensland State Government Auctioneers for the Townsville region. This allows us to handle the disposal of surplus assets from various government departments in the area.
