Welcome to Growing Kind, located at Meadowbrook, Logandowns Drive, 13. We are an establishment, point of interest, and store dedicated to promoting the importance of play in children's lives. As Carl Jung once said, "The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct."

At Growing Kind, we understand the overwhelming evidence that supports play as the highest form of physical activity in children and a driver for social change and development. Play has positive impacts on children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. It enhances brain structure and function and promotes executive functioning. Most importantly, play is how children make sense of the world around them. Unfortunately, play opportunities for children are declining, leading to serious health and wellbeing risks.

To tackle this issue, Growing Kind focuses on three pillars: advocacy, community connections, and accessibility to resources. Our Director and Founder, Amie, is an experienced early childhood teacher and a board member of the Australian Institute of Play. We are proud to be a local Logan City business that employs members of our community and creates a family-friendly workplace. We strive to stay up-to-date on the latest research in early childhood education and always prioritize the needs of children.
