"Have turned up today to find door locked and notice on door to say closed from yesterday Wed 5th July. No notice from owners, no answer from numerous telephone calls. Website looks like you can still book. Left in Hobart with no accommodation. Have paid for 4 nights. Very disappointed as only chose hotel after good reviews. Some decency of letting us know we had no where to stay would have been nice."
"Good place to stay at Hobart. Proximity to varieties of restaurants pubs and bars. Just in the city of Hobart with the centuries old building giving you the vibe that revives the old style and class. Obvious. Don’t forget the Rookie the cat!!!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Macquarie Manor. Chris and staff were so welcoming and hospitable. Our rooms were set up to accommodate our family needs. Free parking and easy walking distance to tourist areas. Look forward to seeing more art work on the walls next visit. Lois, Yvonne and Zac."
"My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Macquarie Manor. Such a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous historical building. The owner and staff were all amazingly hospitable, friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel is easy walking distance to many great spots in Hobart. My husband, 2 children and I stayed in room with 2 singles and 1 queen or king bed (I don’t quite remember). It was a great room for the 4 of us. I would stay there again in a heartbeat."
