"Excellent accommodation in battery Point, close to everything in downtown Hobart. Good rates, good rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Has crockery and cutlery and cooking facilities. Does a very reasonable continental breakfast pack with cereal and toast. We enjoyed our stay there, and would highly recommend them."

"The room was small but served our purposes well, it was clean and beds were comfortable. The location is fantastic, within walking distance to pretty much everywhere. However, the service provided by Viv at reception leaves much to be desired. My partner and I approached front reception waiting to be checked in where we were not greeted by Viv. After a long, awkward wait at the window, Viv finally acknowledged us by saying “one moment” (we were the only guests in the reception at this point). We then proceeded to stand in front of Viv for what seemed like an eternity but was about 5 minutes. Not once did he look at us, greet us, smile or anything. All the while we assumed he was very busy with another guest over the phone or something, but we saw in the reflection behind him that he was simply typing an email. Rather than making us wait there staring awkwardly at him for too long to be appropriate, with 20kg backpacks on, he should have simply stopped typing the email and taken the second to serve us. Viv did not engage in any pleasantries, smile or apologise. He simply handed over our keys and continued typing his “very important” email. The reception is the first impression a guest has on the establishment. It’s a shame to have such a sour taste left in your mouth when everything else was good. The woman working at the reception upon check out was so lovely and personable, Viv should take a leaf out of her book."

"What a fantastic place, rooms are super clean, spacious and comfortable. Kitchenette had all your basic necessities. Lovely central location, walking distance to many food outlets and things to see/do. Check in was super quick & hassle free with friendly receptionists. Icing on the cake was ample free parking on site. Will 100% be staying next time I’m in town!"
