Wilson's Bike Hub Dapto

"On line i asked if they could help me with a tapered fork to non tapered frame conversion . The answer I got was . “Not something we would be able to help you with “ Today i took my rear wheel to them and I wanted it rebuilt . I told them I’m willing to spend 5-600 on a new hub alone but still couldn’t stop what he was doing to help me just relaying answers through his apprentice . They told me to leave my details and they will see what’s available . I asked if I could get a answer today as it was still morning but he said no wouldnt be today . So I took my wheel as they were obviously to busy to give me any of there time . That is a shame because I was about to spend least $1000 today in parts for my rebuild . It’s not the first time I’ve had this attitude from the dapto store , something he has carried over from working for old Gus at dapto cycle and sports lol . That’s the last time I’ll bother them ."

"My large active family has spent $1000's of dollars at this store over the past 5 years. We've always received solid advice and received good customer service when purchasing bikes and helmets. Today, my 9 year old son attended with his own hard saved money to buy some new scooter parts. The price of what he wanted was more than the cost of his 2 year old scooter. We discussed it with the sales assistant and my son decided on just a couple of small items. I then stepped out to take a phone call and left him browsing with his brothers for 2 minutes. During this brief time, the young sales assistant approached him directly and tried to convince him to buy an $80 set of wheels, insisting that he needed them. It was very sneaky and underhanded to target a young child."

"I was debating whether to give this 3 or 4 stars as been a semi regular over a two year period, had my bike serviced by them several times and it's been mostly flawless (tiny mistake which only took me a moment to fix) and their range is pretty good and I haven't been able to fault their products. My main gripe is their customer service. I always feel like I'm an unwanted guest when i go there. I think I'm usually pretty easy going, so first few times I just put off as either they're having a bad day or I was. Yet of all the times I've been there, (not sure exact count but 10-15) I think it was only once or twice I enjoyed interacting with their staff (I've mostly dealt with the older staff, can't comment on the younger ones). I think I've only spent 600-1000 all up so not a huge spender and that could the reason, or it could be a personaility clash but despite this being the most convinent store for me by far, I won't be going back."

"We were after E bikes but knew very little about them. As we couldn't visit (covid restrictions) we made multiple calls to Nic, the salesman, and he was very patient. He gave us lots of info and made size and type suggestions. The manager gave us a discount, we bought the bikes and were happy with the price and service. They are even delivering them for free."
