Both Jenny and Peter Goss played significant roles in the development of the 2018 ISPAD international consensus guidelines Management and Support of Children and Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes in School, as well as the ISPAD Position Statement on Type 1 Diabetes in Schools which Peter co-chaired. Peter is also the Chair of the Australian Paediatric Society Diabetes Committee and a member of the Australian Paediatric Endocrine Group Diabetes Subcommittee.
At Team Diabetes, we believe in utilizing the expertise of a multidisciplinary team, including dieticians, psychologists, and respected Australian and international diabetes consultants, to provide the best possible care for our patients. We understand that Type 1 diabetes is a family disease and consider ourselves privileged co-workers in the family diabetes team.
As strong advocates for the highest standards of diabetes management, we collaborate closely with school personnel to ensure comprehensive care for our patients. Our practices align with the guidelines set forth by the International Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Diabetes and the AMA code of ethics.
Located at Granada Medical Centre Level 1, 88 Myers Street, Geelong VIC 3220, our institution offers on-site services in Geelong, with a monthly outreach service to East Melbourne.
