"The food is great but service was difficult and slow as lots of people in the dining room and not enough staff at the bar. Overall what a great venue just needs a few more staff on shift so you don't line up for 15 minutes for a pint."

A couple of visits, after new management, where inept handling of people with bookings at a bar cash register in a half hour queue has spoiled the entire experience. Take bookings. Escort people to their table. Pay waiting staff to take orders etc. like used to happen and have droves of old customers returning."
"Visited this inn for a lunch function. For a large group, we were not disappointed at all. Garlic loaf to start was fantastic, fresh, and tasty. Everyone commented on their meals. Some took home doggy bags as meal sizes were big. Staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming. We will visit again."
