Reviews
"Defaced by hoons and vandals. Burnout tyre marks everywhere and teenagers throwing bottles on a Sunday afternoon. The views were amazing but the walk and facilities have been defaced and I wonder why NSW Police and Parks and Wildlife aren't patrolling the area"
"Great spot for a walk, picnic or mtb ride. Great 360 degree views from the top"
"Walked around the mountain this morning with my Eastlake Walkers group. Fantastic views from the nearby lookouts of the Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie and distant locations."
"One of my favourite places to bushwalking. The tracks are well signposted and there is a toilet there plus barbies and tables and chairs. The walk up the top is steep in parts but I did it a few years ago after a double knee replacement. Views are amazing and the rocks and flora are interesting."
"Tip for accessing Mount Sugarloaf Lookout: when you get to the end of the road, it's just a car park. With a very limited view. Don't let that put you off. Walk up the steep street which is locked to vehicular traffic. It's only a ten minute walk to the lookout. When you get to the top, the trees have grown and block some of the view. But you still get excellent views to the east, towards Newcastle and south to Lake Macquarie."
