Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park

"We are a couple of friends going camping once a month, and try and plan our bookings well in advance. We have selected Tallebudgera and was looking forward to camping there. Unfortunate circumstances prevented us from going a few times, and unfortunately the last time we had to give short notice due to the whole group coming down with covid. We we happily advised that our booking could be moved, but we will not be allowed to move our booking again even though I booked 6 months in advance and I had to make an immediate decision for the group. I did not expect that a holiday park would place this requirement on customers, as the deposit was paid, and we would happily pay the difference if there has been price increase, or a difference depending on the time of the year. It is not normal for us to move our bookings often- but unfortunately this did happen. There are no stipulation in any of the documentation that prevent us from moving our booking. We were allowed to cancel, receive our deposit back, and rebook, but they were not able to move the booking. Logic tells me to refund and rebook is more work, costly and time consuming, than moving a booking - and I could not understand the purpose of this being imposed on us - and no explanation given - happily accepting my cancellation and comment that I would most likely not return. In principle I doubt we will opt to go to Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park in the near future -maybe ever, as Australia and even just the Gold Coast offer so many alternatives for people enjoying this lifestyle. I felt disappointed that being busy and popular would resort to making people feel not valued and unwelcome. We camp a lot - and this experience was definitely a first."

"Great park. Clean amenities. Walk around the creek or down to the surf club. On site shop for essentials. Surprisingly quiet even though there was very few empty sites."

"Lost count of the number of times we have stayed at Tallebudgera Tourist Park. On this occasion, we stayed on a Premium powered site. These are a generous size for the bigger vans and still leave you with plenty of room. We usually try for a waterfront site. However, it was school holidays and these were booked. The park was still pretty quiet for holiday time. The staff are awesome in the office and there's staff running around throughout the day cleaning and doing the rubbish. The place is spotless. Then there's the location. It would have to be the pick of the caravan parks. You have an area for the kids with plenty of sand and no waves, then a short to the surf beach. Plus over the bridge, you have the Burleigh Heads National Park, which is a grratbwalk around the headland."

"We had the luxury of an ensuite site! It was very convenient to have our own bathroom with 3 young children! The staff provided fantastic school holiday activities that were great for all ages! Everyone was so helpful and the kids loved the humour of the staff! Such an enjoyable place to camp!"

"Outstanding park and facilities but best of all, outstanding assistance from the general manager! I’m a single mum trying to do this camping thing on my own and my car decided to die on leaving day. Which was pretty stressful. I was assisted and treated with kindness and patience. Unfortunately my car still wouldn’t start so I had to get roadside assist to help but I’m still super thankful for the assistance."
