At Mead Medical, we understand the importance of accessibility and convenience for our patients. That's why we have extended our opening hours to include public holidays, ensuring that you can receive the medical attention you need, even during special occasions. However, please note that we are closed on Good Friday and Christmas Day.

We recognize the financial challenges faced by medical practices due to stagnant Medicare rebates. Despite the rising costs of running a practice, Medicare rebates have not increased significantly in recent years. As a result, there is a significant shortfall between the funds we receive from Medicare and the expenses required to operate our practice. This has led to the need for varying fees, as each GP is now an independent consultant responsible for setting their own fee structures. We encourage you to discuss any concerns or queries about fees directly with your regular GP.

To ensure easy access to our services, we offer multiple options for booking appointments. You can book a phone or video consultation online through our website or by downloading the AUTOMED app. Alternatively, you can call us at 9293 4455. If a face-to-face examination is necessary, our GPs will make appropriate arrangements for you to have a consultation at our practice.

At Mead Medical, our regular PRIVATE Billing fees apply. We also provide vaccination services for both adults and children, including influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. Appointments for vaccinations are available at both of our locations.

We offer urgent care appointments for immediate medical needs, but for complex issues, we recommend booking an appointment with your regular GP during regular practice hours. Our services include care plans and reviews, mental health care plans, health assessments and medicals, paperwork assistance, procedures (except emergencies), and authority scripts.

We also take pride in our team's achievements and recognition within the medical community. Our Practice Manager, Collean Guest, was awarded the 2023 AAPM WA State winner for Practice Manager of the Year. Additionally, Dr. Rebecca Hunt-Davies, one of our esteemed doctors, received the 2021 RACGP General Practice Supervisor of the Year award. Furthermore, Mead Medical was named the General Practice of the Year in 2013/14 by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, highlighting our dedication to excellence.

We are committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. That's why we offer a visiting Bone Density service for those who may be eligible. If you have been diagnosed with diabetes or have high blood glucose levels, our doctors are here to support you.

We bid farewell to our outgoing GP Registrars, Dr. Toby Muia, Dr. Ibrahim Fleyful, and Dr. Elizabeth Dernie, as they embark on new journeys. However, we are delighted to announce that Dr. Emma Vitale will be returning to our family.
