"For the last few months I have been attending the Gold Coast Lapidary Club as a member where I have been taught to make cabochons under the watchful eyes of their wonderful instructors and talented members. As a part of your initial training you have to complete 3 cabochons (cabs) which can be a little daunting for the newbie but each stage of the process is made easy. Call in and have a look at their displays and well equipped workshops, there are lots of skills to be learnt here like faciting gemstones and making jewelry to mention a few but be warned if you catch the 'Lapidary bug' it can be life changing."
