Blue Waters Apartments

"Absolute hovel. The cleanliness of this room was totally sub-par. We arrived at 4:40pm, and the reception closes at 4, so we accessed our key via a safe to enter. There is no accessible access to this place at all, it's all stairs, and there are passive aggressive notes about rubbish removal all through the carpark. When we got to our room, it stank of mildew, and there had clearly been a flood. Carpet was damaged and smelly, MDF cabinetry in the kitchen was swollen all along the floor line and architraves along the bottom of walls had been removed completely. Everything was covered in a grimy layer of oily dust... Look at the photos! We were here for 2 nights, and didn't get an opportunity to speak to reception once because of their hours. We didn't unpack anything and did what we could to not touch any of the surfaces... It was gross Oh, and the curtains didn't meet in the middle, so we had to buy bulldog clips so that we could have privacy from the main road outside. Never again."

"Excellent value accommodation 10 minute drive to Surfers Paradise. Room was a good size but could do with a little love. Staff very accommodating and made check in and out very easy. Location is perfect great view across the water and is close to everything you need. Good size kitchen helps when taking bigger families on a getaway and staying to budget. Would be good if they had wi-fi"

"It's no Hilton but is good value for money - clean rooms, close to the water. The pool is good, the staff are friendly, the car park is fine. Nice balcony to sit on for morning coffee in the sun. Unfortunately Wifi is choppy, so mobile data is really the only option streaming movies. Beware, there are no lifts, so it's leg day every day here."

"Recently stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment (25C) which is in dire need of updating and general maintenance. I can't speak for the other rooms in the resort, but this one was pretty bad. Every tap leaked and dripped constantly (admittedly they got plumbers in after we complained), there are holes in the walls in the bathroom, loose tiles, mould on the ceiling and in the shower and the basin is falling apart. There are power points hanging off the wall in one of the bedrooms which could be disastrous if a young child were to find it. There was still pee on the toilet seat when we checked in, so that doesn't bode well for the quality of cleaning. The kitchen utensils and a bulk of the crockery are very old and gross. The frypans handle is about to fall off. The cutlery appears to be taken from an Emirates Airline. The outdoor setting is a cheap camping table with very old plastic chairs that have corroded from the sun and feel like they're about to fall apart. Overall I was really unimpressed with the room and it would be unlikely I'd stay here again. If you have booked a 3 bedroom apartment, request to not be put in this one. On a positive note, the staff are friendly. The resort is in a convenient and relatively quiet location and is only a short drive to all the theme parks and Surfers Paradise."

"I enjoyed the location and the rooms, they do need some updating and bed heads covering power points with lamps just there for decoration was odd but I definitely recommend them as a great family spot"
