"In February I completed my studies at Barrington college and it was a great experience with lots of support from my teachers and the management! I studied for two years, from 2021 to 2023, and completed a Certificate 4 in Commercial cookery and a Diploma of hospitality management. From the very beginning, I liked the quality of service and the professionalism of the staff. All units and any questions I had were explained easily to me because English isn’t my first language. Moved from Brisbane, I had to choose between three different colleges in the Gold Coast. I chose Barrington because it is the college where I felt comfortable from the first moment. Simon, the manager, explained me everything about study and opportunities during my student life. I liked the specious kitchen with lots of utilities and the chefs who were very friendly to me and answered all my questions about the study program and provided me with fun recipes. I liked that I can be creative in the kitchen anytime I feel like experimenting with my dishes. The teachers were supportive and always went above and beyond to help me achieve my goals. The school also has the cafe with special prices for students, and the coffee and food always were tasty and hot as I always liked. Big thank you to the excellent education and training I received at Barrington, I was able to secure a job as a cook at a famous hotel brand even while studying. And before my graduation, I was promoted to the commis chef position! I can honestly say that the skills and knowledge I gained from Barrington College have been so important in my career and life choices.
