Welcome to AG Drum School, a premier institution located at Woodvale, Fallbrook Avenue, 17 in Australia. We are an establishment of great interest for all drumming enthusiasts. Our founder, Andrew, discovered his passion for drums at the tender age of eight. With the guidance of renowned Australian drummers Dave Sleishman and Gordon Rytmeister, Andrew honed his skills in various genres such as Jazz, Funk, Latin, R n B, Reggae, World Music, Rock, Metal, and Alternative.
Andrew's dedication and talent led him to win Australia's Best Up and Coming Drummer Intermediate Competition at the AUDW festival in 2006 when he was just sixteen. Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Andrew completed a Bachelor of Music at The University Of Western Sydney, where he also had the opportunity to study at California State University Los Angeles through an exchange program. There, he performed regularly with the Cal State LA Big Band and learned from renowned drummers like Gil Sharone, known for his work with Marilyn Manson and The Dillinger Escape Plan.
Throughout his career, Andrew has maintained a busy schedule as a freelance drummer, gaining valuable experience in various performance settings. He has graced television screens, appearing on shows such as Australian Idol, X Factor, ABC's comedy series Wednesday Night Fever, and ABC's Friday Night Crack Up. Andrew has also featured in numerous music videos for artists like Christie Lamb, Kaylen's Rain, and Daggerz.
His talent has taken him to music festivals worldwide, including Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta, Canada, CMC Rocks, Urban Country Music Festival, Deni Ute Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, and Wollombi Music Festival, among others. Additionally, Andrew has gigged extensively in pubs, clubs, and functions across Australia and the United States.
Andrew's impressive resume includes performances with esteemed Australian and international artists such as The Platinums, Knox, John Foreman, Ricki Lee, Eddie Perfect, Dave Eastgate, Jamie Lindsay, Daggerz, Christie Lamb, Mickey Pye, Jayne Denham, and many more.
From 2015 to 2021, Andrew served as the in-house drummer at the renowned Sydney venue, Frankie's Pizza By The Slice. This experience further cemented his reputation as a skilled and versatile drummer.
