Reviews
"The park is beautiful, went to just sit in the park with some friends. There is a dog park so there are many friendly dogs to see and the trees offer great shade!"
"Dog loves it , plenty room to run and swim in tidal pond."
"The park is a nice fenced off leash park - great for dogs to socialise. Most people at the park are friendly and happy to chat. There is only one park bench though - perhaps council can consider placing another at the park. There are water taps for the dogs too. Council needs to mow more often and just prior to the last two weeks of heavy rain, the lake which I thought was tidal, became a little stagnant. Carpark is good. There is also a walk around the park with dogs on leash. A handful of people are not considerate and don’t collect their pets mess. Overall we enjoy Saltwater Park and so does our lil missy."
"This is a nice, relatively quiet area to enjoy some time with your dog and frequented by a good amount of other dogs to play with. The fenced off leash dog park is pretty big, large dogs can have a good run about. There is ample seating space and lots of trees for shade, however there isn't an undercover area for humans. Grass is well maintained and the park is clean. Basic features like water, poo bags, and a bin. The swimming area is mangrove-y, so the water is a bit smelly but relatively safe. Probably still a good idea to rinse off your dog after a play in the water. I would recommend heading to the Esplanade at Paradise Point instead for nicer dog swimming conditions, especially the bit of beach near Sapphire street for on leash, or off Shoveller Ave for off leash swimming. However the swimming hole at this park is a nice bonus for pooches who like to get their toes wet, even if it isn't in the cleanest water. You can also continue with your dog on-leash for a pretty little stroll around the lake on the footpath. Decent parking for cars, very easy to access off the main road."
