"A lovely little restaurant hidden away in Julimar approx. 15 minutes away from Toodyay. The business is a husband and wife team creating good old German / Austria traditional food. The food is flavoursome and the servings are huge. We were a group of four and we all loved our meals. I had the Rouladen and would highly recommend. Also for fish lovers the whole grilled trout was amazing. We need to support these small country business otherwise they will disappear. Finally the chef came out to say hello to every table and introduced himself and asked if all was okay."

"Spent a wonderful lazy afternoon lunch here with friends. The menu was fantastic, everything is very traditional. We had a special Easter potato soup, the goulash, and Vienna schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce, a bottle of the wine made from the vineyard... followed by desert, Vienna coffee and a tasting of mead in the winery. Excellent hospitality and very comfortable chairs conducive to a long lunch! Definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon for the fondue and pork knuckle. They also sell very tasty natural honey from their hives."

"Randomly found this place while in Toodyay . It’s about a 15 mins drive from there . Lovely homemade German inspired food and a Very friendly lady (I think she is the co-owner) served us. We ordered the mushroom soup, Nordic Salad and the Sizzling Grilled Trout. Very fresh and tasty . Highly Recommend."

"Quite unexpected restaurant near Toodyay, with a German-style cuisine. There's heaps of choice on the menu, a bit difficult to pick a dish. The serves are massive and you will surely not be hungry after lunch."

"Fantastic hidden gem- expect some fine hearty European dishes and loads of flavour and heart. Homestyle all the way! Exceptional service, order ahead of you want the pork knuckle or fondue. Jacob and Alicia were kind and friendly and even took us on a little tour of the winery. Alicia even gave me plant cuttings to take away!! Best day trip ever!!"
