King's Baptist Early Learners

Welcome to King's Baptist Early Learners, located at 93-95 Wynn Vale Drive in Wynn Vale, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a school that values and recognizes parents and families as the child's first and most influential teachers. At King's, we believe that each child is a competent and capable learner, able to share their knowledge and understanding in various ways.

Whether you are new to King's or already part of our community, we strive to provide a positive and enriching experience for your child and family. Our Early Learning Centre was developed in partnership with King's Baptist Grammar School and King's Baptist Church, inspired by the educational work of the educators in Reggio Emilia, Italy. We have assembled an exceptional team of professionals who are dedicated to creating an early childhood education center of excellence at King's Early Learners.

With our beautiful facilities and a passionate team of teachers and co-educators, we are excited about the prospects for the future. We invite you to join us on a journey of learning that will lay a strong foundation for the lives of the children in our care.

Our philosophy is shaped by the beliefs held by our community of learners. We draw inspiration from the educators in Reggio Emilia, whose work has had a far-reaching impact on education worldwide. Additionally, we incorporate elements of the Nature Play movement, Forest Schools, Inquiry Approach, Project-Based Learning, and Bush Kindy into our curriculum.

Our Early Learning Centre operates from 7:15am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and we remain open throughout the school holidays, except for the Christmas and New Year period.

One unique aspect of our program is Bush Kindy, which serves as the beginning of an Outdoor Education. Our children have the opportunity to explore and observe nature at two local Bush Kindy sites. They engage in physical challenges, develop perseverance and resilience, and even grow their own herbs, vegetables, fruit, and flowers. The produce is used in their cooking for afternoon snack time.

We also prioritize a smooth transition from our Early Learning Centre to Reception (Big School). Our Transition Program ensures that children become familiar with the Early Years classes, teachers, play spaces, library, gym, and chapel, creating a seamless move to the next stage of their education.

At King's, we see our students as competent, capable, creative, resilient, responsible, and resourceful individuals. Our teaching approach combines intentional instruction with child-led lines of inquiry to inform our learning experiences and planning.

In addition to our commitment to providing quality education, we acknowledge that everything in heaven and earth belongs to God. We also recognize and pay our respects to the Kaurna people and the Peramangk people as the traditional custodians of the lands on which our schools are located. We extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and commit ourselves to pray and work for justice and reconciliation.
