"For a place with such amazing venue design it's unfortunate it has become a run down filthy dive. Some parts of the venue are straight up dangerous because of an obvious ZERO MAINTENANCE policy."
"Won't be going here again, got escorted out for no reason (apparently I was sleeping). Once out side I asked politely why I was booted and got a rather rude and subtly aggressive response and then I was told I was being aggressive (the Hippocraticacy), then almost immediately palmed off to police, whom gave me a move on notice meaning I couldn't go anywhere else. There was absolutely no need for the way I was treated."
"Going to see a favourite band live...be prepared for dissapointment in relation to the venue. Paid for VIP early entry....15mins late (they took our tickets off us also). Their VIP sign was not the VIP section? So people were in the wrong lines left right and centre. When people realised they were in the wrong line they just had to accept they were going to the back of the right line pushing them further back. Not too hard to cover the permanent signs and have someone direct people. Drinks are in either paper or plastic cups, (safety reasons which is fine) but unsafe for people as can't really cover the entire cup top. Sound is fantastic, but for a supposed 3hour event...opening act started 8:15pm (entry was meant to be 7pm). Then after roughly 20-30minutes their set ended. Then the main band didn't end up on stage until sometime after 9:15pm. Amazing set and loved it. However due to the delays etc, we only got the main band on for just over an hour. Not the bands fault. Loved the band but not the best venue. The female toilets downstairs were clean and the bar staff were awesome. I was advised the male toilets upstairs however were not clean or maintained. I still had a great time but could have been handled a bit better."
"The gig tonight was awesome, however, metros freo hasn't changed in over 20 years (since I was last there). The carpet is absolutely disgusting and sticky... all the banisters and railings are gungy and have paint flaking off into your hands. Make sure you scrub your hands well when you go to the toilet. The place has been seriously let go from when I use to go clubbing there in my teens and early 20s. As a venue, as it is now... is quite disappointing. It could be fantastic if had some work done"
