Owned and operated by Andrea and Lofa, the masterminds behind the award-winning Andiamo Cafe in Rockingham, Gioia On The River has quickly become a beloved dining destination. With multiple accolades under their belt, including being named the Best Restaurant in Western Australia twice and winning the National Bronze Medal, Andrea and Lofa's culinary expertise is unparalleled.

"Our food is a fusion of traditional Italian flavors and modern cooking styles," says Lofa and Andrea. But it goes beyond that; it's a fusion of the appreciation for food and the ability of a shared meal to bring people together in joy. In November 2021, we proudly took home the Catering Institute Gold Plate Awards for Mediterranean Dining, a testament to our commitment to excellence. Whether you're planning a small gathering or a large group booking, Gioia On The River has something for everyone, with a menu tailored to meet your needs.
For groups of 10 or more, we offer food and drinks packages. Indulge in a selection of our best cocktail food with our optional drinks package. The food package is priced at $50 per person, while the beverage package is priced at $25 per person per hour. It's a nod to the famous Italian tradition of friends meeting for aperitivo hour before their family dinners. For just $75 per person, you can enjoy 2 hours of unlimited apertivo, including Italian antipasto-style share snacks and glasses of Prosecco, House White & Red wine, and Tap Beers.

"My husband and I had lunch here today for the first time and were very impressed. The restaurant and outdoor area is simple and elegant and has a warm, friendly, unpretentious feel. Service was perfect, giving us time to enjoy our meal in a relaxed way but staff were always attentive, professional and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing, with perfect portion sizes that meant we could enjoy 2 courses and share a dessert. We were celebrating so weren't conscious of what we paid, but when we paid our bill we felt we had certainly had value for money. We will definitely return and if we have our chadults with us will probably take advantage of the special 2 course lunch menu on offer :)"

"We came across this little gem walking past, the ambience and location is perfect for a romantic dinner. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were both looking for a seafood type pasta and were disappointed when it wasn’t on the menu, which we found hard to find something we wanted but we had already committed and the view was stunning. We got the steak and the chicken. I tried my friends steak it had a nice char on the outside which was lovely and the beetroot purée went well with it. The sauce on the chicken was creamy and incredibly tasty I would have liked more, the carrots and beans were cooked perfectly. The chicken was ok, a little on the dry side and it was a small half chicken and really overpriced for what it was, it was something I could have made at home. But it was a lovely experience with friendly staff, pity about the menu."
