With the guidance of our experienced professionals, your child will come to realize that their feelings are normal and it is perfectly okay to express them. Our Child Therapy Practice in Redcliffe boasts a custom-designed therapy suite that includes dedicated areas for play, sensory, and art therapy. This safe and secure environment is specifically tailored for children aged 12 and under to receive counseling.

During the first Child Therapy session, the counselor will spend five to ten minutes chatting with the parent to gain insight into the child's situation. Armed with this valuable information, the counselor will utilize a combination of Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to help your child explore and expand their awareness of the world around them. Your child will feel safe and comfortable to share their thoughts and feelings, and the counselor will guide them in discovering their strengths and behaviors that can help them navigate difficult situations.

By the end of the first session, your child will leave with tools and strategies to work towards achieving their goals and overcoming challenges.

In our unique Dog Therapy, your child can safely explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the presence of Lucy, our friendly Labrador Retriever. Lucy will greet your child at the front door, creating a sense of support and excitement for their therapy session. Your child will enjoy coming to therapy as they develop a special bond with Lucy.

Please note that special arrangements need to be made for Lucy to attend a session.
