In 2003, Hilda's House was designated as the dedicated home for the Grief and Bereavement Service, located next to the Hospice Building.
Over the years, the Grief and Bereavement Service has developed various avenues of support for both adults and children. These include one-to-one support, palliative care counseling, a Kids' Grief Group for children aged 6 to 14, a Parents and Carers Support Group, an Adult Grief Group, and a Drop-In Group for informal gatherings. Additionally, Hilda's House offers practice development opportunities for professionals seeking to enhance their skills in counseling and grief support.
All services provided by the Grief and Bereavement Service are delivered by a team of trained practitioners and volunteers. We kindly request a donation for all bereavement services, and any donation of $2 or more is tax deductible. It is important to note that our bereavement support services receive partial funding from the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), an initiative of the Commonwealth Department of Health.
