Additionally, Dr Abraham has served as a lead investigator for numerous major international trials, contributing significantly to advancements in the field of oncology.

Although Dr Abraham transitioned to full-time private practice in 2012, his dedication to clinical research remains unwavering. He has a particular interest in treating breast, lung, urological, and gastrointestinal tract malignancies. Dr Abraham's contributions to the field have been recognized through his role as the previous chair of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia Lung Cancer Group and his membership in the Queensland Co-operative Oncology Group steering committee since its inception. This committee plays a crucial role in overseeing the funding of clinical trial nursing and data management support across oncology centers throughout Queensland.
