About the Business

Welcome to Jubilee Park in Bardon, Australia! This charming establishment is a must-visit for families with young children. Nestled under a collection of huge, leafy trees, Jubilee Park offers a well-shaded playground that is perfect for toddlers.
Spanning over two hectares, this popular North Brisbane park features the Brian McGrath Playground and Ernie Toovey cricket oval. The playground itself is generously sized and offers a delightful mix of ground-level activities, including musical instruments, developmental games, climbing structures, spinners, see-saws, and swings.
One of the highlights of Jubilee Park is the "Jubilee Café," a pretend café nook complete with a cash register for bark chip currency, scales, and mugs and spoons to spark imaginative play. The playground has received various upgrades over time, resulting in a fascinating combination of old and new equipment with different color schemes. The most recent addition is the green and grey playground, designed for more advanced climbers with monkey bars, a spider's web net, a bridge, and a rock climbing wall.
The park is surrounded by three suburban roads, but the playground is partially protected with barriers. Picnic tables and benches located near the playground offer a pleasant spot to relax under the shade of the trees. Additionally, an outdoor gym and a large cricket oval provide ample space for active living, although BBQ facilities are not available.
If you're looking to explore more of the area, a nice, flat bike path runs along the Empress Terrace side of the parklands, connecting to Fletcher Parade Park. Here, you'll find a smaller, older playground that offers entertainment for younger children.
Jubilee Park in Bardon rivals The Enchanted Forest in Ashgrove in terms of charm, but it is more spacious and caters to a wider range of ages. Whether your little ones are mini maestros or aspiring shopkeepers, they will find plenty of enjoyment in Jubilee Park. The percussion instruments and play cafe are perfect for imaginative play, while the spider's web and slides offer hours of excitement.
Accessible toilets are available on the Crown Street side of the parklands, approximately 200 meters from the playground. The terrain is completely level, making it suitable for children as young as 12 months old. However, there is no direct pathway connecting the playground to the toilets. Please note that there is no specific special needs equipment in Jubilee Park.
For more nearby parks, you can visit The Enchanted Forest or Anzac Park in Toowong. Jubilee Park is a favorite among local families, thanks to its unique character, variety of equipment, and shade from the trees. Additionally, its peaceful atmosphere, only a 15-minute drive from the city center, is greatly appreciated by parents.
Come and explore Jubilee Park, the perfect spot for family fun and adventure. Located at 14E Empress Terrace, Bardon QLD 4065, the park is also accessible via Crown Street, Coronation Street, and Fletcher Parade. Reviews
"A nice park to have some lunch in. The amenities were basic but serviceable."
"Lovely park, but there was no recycling bins"
"Great park with shady play equipment under trees. Water fountain and picnic tables. Exercise equipment alongside park, huge oval. Toilets 100m away on other side of the park. Shame so many people use it as an "off leash" area."
"Large park with large shady trees, cricket pitches, new toilet and kids playground. Popular for family gatherings and parties. Could do with more seats in the shade though. Also too many dogs off lead (though mostly well behaved). Maybe time for council to build a formalised off lead area?..... there’s plenty of room."
"A very nice well-maintained park with a play area and a mixture of shaded and open areas. A good place to take young children. There is more park along the creek on the other side of Fletcher Parade, probably more suitable for adults and older children."
