With a diverse range of life experiences from living in five different countries, including Japan, India, Thailand, Canada, and Australia, Jessie brings a unique perspective to therapy. Having obtained a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and running a successful practice and teaching in Asia, Jessie moved to Australia in 2015 and has been calling it home ever since.

Jessie's training is in positive depth psychology, and techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focus, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and existential therapy are integrated into sessions. Recently, Jessie has also become a yoga instructor and incorporates elements of yoga into therapy. The techniques used will be tailored to your specific needs, ensuring that interventions are relevant to your individual circumstances.

Creating a safe space, both in-person and online, is of utmost importance to Jessie. This allows you to increase awareness and learn new skills through talk therapy. Clients who attend counselling sessions may be struggling with emotional, cognitive, or physical symptoms. During the initial 30-minute intake session, which is offered at no charge, Jessie aims to get to know you and understand your goals. This session also helps determine if you and Jessie are a good fit to embark on the therapeutic journey together.

While Jessie specializes in working with adults who have experienced trauma, her work extends to clients affected by various issues. It's important to note that therapy is not limited to those with mental health issues or in crisis mode. Therapy can be beneficial for anyone who wants to share their feelings, gain a different perspective, unclutter their thoughts, or strive towards personal growth and self-awareness.
