Dr Jean Wong, an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with a MBBS and FRANZCOG qualification, leads our team. Since her time in medical school, Dr Wong has had a natural affinity for this field and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to women during all stages of their lives.

We understand the strength and vulnerability that women experience during significant moments such as childbirth, as well as in their day-to-day lives. Whether it's managing periods, period pains, routine cervical screening tests, or mammograms, we are here to support women in their healthcare journey.

Collaboration is key in our practice. We believe in providing evidence-based information to empower women to make informed decisions for themselves and their families. Each patient is unique, and we offer individualized care tailored to their specific circumstances and preferences.

Dr Wong completed most of her obstetrics and gynaecology training at the renowned Royal Women's Hospital. She also gained valuable experience in rural and overseas hospitals, honing her skills in all aspects of obstetrics, including high-risk cases, as well as office and operative gynaecology.

In 2007, Dr Wong, along with Dr Leah Xu, established OGCG with a vision of creating a woman-centered and woman-run group practice. Over the years, our team has grown to include five female obstetricians, along with a range of healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists specializing in women's health, a maternal and pediatric dietician, a perinatal counselor, and dedicated gynaecology care.

Our commitment to providing comprehensive care means that we strive to constantly improve our patients' experience. We value their feedback and recommendations, whether it's about their healthcare journey or their favorite restaurants and TV shows.

Outside of her work, Dr Wong is a dedicated mother to her two children. She enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, trying new restaurants, and cooking. During lockdowns, she indulged in hobbies such as making jam, practicing piano, knitting, and watching foreign language films on Netflix.

In addition to Dr Wong, our team of specialist obstetricians includes Dr Leah Xu, Dr Natalia Khomko, Dr Perri Dyson, and Dr Robin Thurman. Supporting our obstetricians are Dr Amber Hart, a GP lactation consultant and infant sleep/settling consultant, Robyn Compton, a maternal and pediatric dietician, and Aminee Dickenson, a counselor. We also offer the services of two specialist gynaecologists, Dr Harvinder Kaur and Dr Stephen Lee.

Our consulting rooms are located in the Chelsea House Building, Suite 319, at 55 Flemington Road in North Melbourne. We respectfully acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Owners of the land on which our consulting rooms and Frances Perry House stand. We celebrate the stories, culture, and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders from all communities who live and work on this land.
