Welcome to Killeen Street Childcare Centre Inc., located at 23 Killeen Street in Sunshine West, Australia. We are a community-based institution, managed by a voluntary committee consisting of parents, community members, and staff. With over 40 years of operation, we have been proudly catering to the needs of 50 children in our center.
At Killeen Street Childcare Centre, we believe in providing fundamental elements that help children realize their potential. Our aim is to offer high-quality childcare by building respectful and trusting relationships with each child and their families. We strive to create a warm, safe, caring, and stimulating environment that meets the holistic needs of every child.
Our commitment lies in providing an environment that encourages a sense of identity, independence, wellbeing, confidence, connection, and opportunities to contribute to the world around them. We maintain high standards of health, safety, and nutrition to ensure the well-being of all the children under our care.
As a not-for-profit community-based children's center, we also offer a government-funded kindergarten program. Our focus is on play and interest-based learning, which fosters the individual development of each child. We provide a positive environment with beautiful, large, natural play spaces.
Killeen Street Childcare Centre encompasses two buildings. The 0-3-year-olds building is located at 23 Killeen Street, Sunshine, while the 3-5-year-olds room is located at 26-30 Fairbairn Road, Sunshine.

"We are deeply grateful and fortunate that the wonderful and caring staff at Killeen St childcare have looked after our children for the last six years. Both of our kids (a boy and a girl) started out at around 1yo in the Killeen Street baby room and progressed through to kinder age with our girl completing kindergarten this year. They both formed close attachments with their teachers and friends. We feel blessed and thankful that our children have been so well cared for and nurtured, helping them to grow into happy, self-reliant and social children.
