"I have been having a particularly wonderful time learning to dance with the Rio Rhythmic crew. From the first introduction via their Latin Dance Starter course I have been inspired to go and learn and enjoy and develop myself in this dancing caper. I am 67 and have never danced, so initially I looked like a dancing brick. But I was and am continually encouraged and I am improving. My hips are loosening up, my shoulders are becoming flexible. The exercise is safe and challenging all at the same time. And it is such fun. In the Starter classes everyone is expected to be a duffer and make mistakes and get it wrong on the path to getting it right. Then as I improve and repeat classes I notice I am learning stuff. And beginning to understand the music. I have found all the instructors wonderful with various strengths, flashes of brilliance, illuminating focus and insights, dead-great dancers, respectful, seriously encouraging, and just plain great fun. I have also had to reconnect with the great thing called the learning-curve as I navigate utterly unfamiliar ways of moving and hearing and focusing on others. It is a wonderful experience. "As a latino who has been listening to salsa music all my life, I found the music in this place so outdated and boring. The place needs a new DJ or somehow update their play list. Just to be clear: I'm talking about the social dance event!"
"Enrolled in a 10 week starter course where you can attend several different classes for a great price in my opinion! Instructors are very informative and passionate, thorough in basics in the starter courses to ensure a good foundation is built which I really enjoy. Unfortunately I haven't been able to make every class due to life stuff, but catch up has been easy and have still been able to learn a good amount."
"Rio Rhythmics is a wonderful community where you can learn some great dance skills, meet new people and have a load of fun! It is professionally run and the instructors are skilled at breaking down the steps into easy to work out moves which has you dancing skillfully and with style. The people are all very friendly and you dont need to have a partner to come! Highly Recommend!"
