Welcome to The University of Queensland-Saint Lucia Campus, located at 280-284 Sir Fred Schonell Drive in the beautiful suburb of Saint Lucia, Australia. Spread across 114 hectares of breathtaking Brisbane River-bound land, our campus offers a perfect blend of historic sandstone buildings and modern architecture, surrounded by lush gardens and serene lakes.

As you explore our campus, you'll discover state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, including cutting-edge laboratories, spacious lecture theatres, and Queensland's largest research library. In addition, our expansive grounds are home to a range of sporting facilities, museums, charming cafes, and the iconic Jacaranda trees that adorn our campus during spring.

Conveniently situated just seven kilometers from Brisbane's city center, our St Lucia campus is an ideal place to study, work, or visit. Getting here is a breeze, thanks to the excellent transport links. With more than 10 direct bus routes from Brisbane CBD and the outer suburbs, you can easily reach us. Some of these routes even utilize rapid-transit busways, providing a congestion-free journey to and from campus. Frequent services are also available from Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Toowong.

To make commuting even more convenient, our campus boasts two bus stations, located at Chancellor's Place and the Lakes. Furthermore, UQ staff and students can take advantage of our free intercampus bus service, connecting St Lucia and Gatton campuses. Additionally, a free shuttle bus is available for travel between St Lucia and Long Pocket.

For those preferring train travel, the nearest train stations to our St Lucia campus are Toowong, Park Road, and Dutton Park. Toowong train station, on the Ipswich-Rosewood and Springfield lines, is just a short walk from the Benson Street bus stop, where regular buses to our campus are available. Park Road train station, a major junction on the Cleveland, Gold Coast, and Beenleigh lines, offers express bus services to St Lucia campus from the adjacent Boggo Road Busway. Dutton Park train station, on the Beenleigh-Ferny Grove line, is also within walking distance of the Eleanor Schonell Bridge, which connects our campus to Dutton Park.

If you prefer water transport, the St Lucia Ferry Terminal is conveniently located near Sir William Macgregor Drive, adjacent to the UQ Lakes bus station and Eleanor Schonell Bridge.

When driving to our campus, the main road to access St Lucia is Sir Fred Schonell Drive, a busy four-lane road running parallel to the Brisbane River. The most direct route from Brisbane's CBD is via Coronation Drive, while Moggill Road provides access from the western suburbs. However, please note that travel times can vary greatly, especially during peak hours. We strongly recommend considering alternative modes of transportation, such as public transport, walking, or cycling, to reduce parking and traffic pressures.

Speaking of cycling, St Lucia campus is easily accessible by bicycle. A safe riverside bicycle path in Toowong and the Eleanor Schonell Bridge in Dutton Park connect our campus to the Brisbane CBD and surrounding suburbs. We provide secure bike parking facilities and racks throughout the campus to ensure the safety of your bike.
