Due to the rising costs associated with running medical centres, including staff wages, entitlements, and medical supplies, it has become increasingly challenging to sustain our services solely through Medicare payments. Therefore, we have made the decision to transition to a mixed billing system from the 1st of July 2023.
Under this new system, certain patients will still be bulk billed during specific hours. Children aged 16 and under, as well as concession card holders and pensioners, will be bulk billed from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and until 12 noon on Saturdays. It is important to note that relevant concession cards must be presented at the time of consultation to ensure eligibility for bulk billing.
We also want to inform our patients that a surcharge may be applied to credit or direct debit card payments. This surcharge, ranging from 0.15% to 0.79% of the transaction amount, is determined by the type of card or issuer/bank. This additional charge is necessary to cover the costs associated with processing card payments.

"The most unprofessional, unskilled and hopeless doctor (Dr. Chigozie Agbarakwe) I have ever seen in my life. Firstly, my wife and I are planning a baby had to be referred to fertility clinic (Royal Women Hospital). We did all the test and asked the doctor to send the referral directly to the Hospital. The doctor asked my wife to visit hospital/clinic to submit the referral. When visited hospital they said that Doctor's clinic need to send referral via Fax. On our next visit we mentioned this to Dr. Chigozie Agbarakwe, he said we have done this multiple times so we know. Secondly, he absolutely lacks skills and professionalism. He takes ages to type any referral. In addition he has his music played out loudly without being considerate and attentive to patient visiting in his consulting room. Thirdly, the authorities like AHPRA and Health Department should seriously investigate this Doctor. He is a shame to health care system. I was talking to him and he said this is Bulk billing we give only 10-15 min consultation. If you want to talk you can pay and come private. For every single and simple thing he would ask to come to his clinic so he can get money per appointment. SERIOUSLY AVOID IF YOU CAN . Regards, Mike"
