"My son aged 6 had a Adenotonsillectomy which required an overnight stay. The Children's ward was cheerfully decorated in a dinosaur theme which also included a games area. The nurses were lovely and very thorough. We had a lovely experience. A great hospital and a fantastic Children's ward."

"Husband went in for a minor procedure with an epidural. The admissions form were filled out accurately but once we were admitted the nursing staff did not understand what the term “ as required” meant when associated with a dosage regime even though we explained it twice politely. The senior nurse was aggressive and hostile tried to gaslight us, accuse us of not knowing what we were talking about, effectively implying that we were stupid. So after the staff trying to insult, demean and belittle us, without success by the way, we foolishly assumed the matter as settled. Silly us! The next day, post surgery, a hostile nurse charged into my husband’s room and “told him off”. Unfortunately variations of the disrespectful behaviour continued. I arrived to find my husband upset, agitated and distressed. I came to the conclusion that it would be in his best interest to leave. It was a very unpleasant experience which we would not recommend to anyone. Needless to say we will never go to a St Vincent’s Hospital again! My husband felt disrespected, bullied and harassed.He was right. That is exactly what happened. Leaving resolved the problem with a minimum of fuss."

"Had surgery here 6 weeks ago to a fractured humerus. Only needed a 2 night stay. Can’t recommend this hospital highly enough. The nursing staff were amazing. Nothing too much trouble. Apart from1 nurse on night duty who was obviously not as good. Food was great. After receiving terrible treatment from Latrobe Valley Hospital earlier this was such a relief. Don’t bother going anywhere else."

"Had surgery and a fantastic 5 night stay on the 4th floor. All the staff were extremely professional, very friendly and make sure you are comfortable. Everything went very smoothly from start to finished and I always felt informed about what was happening. Food is delicious and room service is definitely a highlight. No negatives, only thing to mention is that tvs in room only have standard channels, so bring your own laptop if you want Netflix, Stan, Prime etc."

"Amazing. Our 5 year old had day surgery and we could not have asked for better quality care from all the nurses on the kids ward. Caring, sympathetic and made you fully aware of what was happening each step of the way. Nurse Sig was so good. Keep up the magnificent work."
