"Thank you to Dearne for helping us with our first dance. As two introverts with several left feet we were terrified to begin with but Dearne was very relaxed, friendly and professional. She choreographed a whole sequence for us with a song she hadn't done before. The class structure and feedback made learning the dance a breeze with plenty of practice at home. We developed a great rapport and respect over the weeks. "Dearne did an amazing job of teaching us our wedding dance! We are not at all coordinated and Dearne some how managed to choreograph an achievable, beautiful dance to a song she hadn’t heard before we came to our lessons! Dearne was patient when we had difficulty with some moves and adapted our dance as we went along. She also did a great job of giving us some moves to use for our father/daughter mother/son dance which made it so much less stressful on the night. Also, one of the side benefits of our dance lessons were that we became more comfortable spinning and dipping, which made for some lovely wedding photos! "Dearne is a kind and patient dance teacher. In our initial consultant she gave us constructive feedback for our music choices and set expectations on what we would get from her and what we would have to put in (home practice). Her lessons are well structured, teaching sections of the dance to finally bring it all together in the end. You can feel that she really cares about what she does and that translates to constant fine tweaking along the way to give you a dance that is unique and personal to you and importantly that you are capable of doing. Learning a beautiful dance isn't as easy as it looks but with Dearne's help we were able to do our first dance with great confidence.
