About the Business
Welcome to Folk Lovers Academy in Mulgrave, Australia! Founded in 2018 by Director Sukhjinder Singh Laddi, our institution is dedicated to preserving and promoting Punjabi Virsa, traditional folk dances, and folk instruments.
Sukhjinder Singh Laddi, a gold medalist in folk instruments, has showcased his talent multiple times for the Indian Council For Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the Ministry Of External Affairs. He has also performed Folk Dance and Folk Orchestra in various countries including Italy, France, Hungary, Turkey, Paris, Budapest, Istanbul, and Bhutan. Additionally, he has visited New Zealand and the USA for cultural activities and performances.
Sukhjinder Singh Laddi is widely recognized for his expertise in Folk Orchestra coaching and has won accolades at the Zonal, Interzonal, Inter University, and National levels. He is also a prominent Algozey recordist in the Punjabi music industry, Bollywood, and Coke Studio.
At Folk Lovers Academy, we offer Folk Dance and Folk Instruments coaching for all age groups. Our branches are conveniently located across Melbourne, including Cranbourne East, Lynbrook, Pakenham, Taylors Lakes, Keysborough, Mulgrave, and Wollert.
We are proud winners of the Telstra Bollywood dance competition and Australian Indian got talent 2019. Our mission is to engage and bring our community closer to our Punjabi Virsa, while introducing our rich culture and heritage.
If you're interested in joining our classes, we have various timings available throughout the week. For example, we hold classes in Cranbourne East every Friday from 06:30 PM to 07:30 PM for kids, and in Pakenham every Saturday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM for both kids and adults.
