Reviews
"Absolutely love Le Creuset cookware. The store in Emporium is lovely. The staff are friendly and professional. The quality of everything I've bought here has stood up solidly and improved my cooking."
"This is a review regarding the brand's 'Lifetime Warranty' rather than the customer service of this particular store. Long story short: Lifetime Warranty is way below my expectation and is even not guaranteed in my experience. _______________________________________________________________ My experience: I received a 26cm Cast Iron a few years ago as a gift. It was perfect and has been sitting in its original package. The pot has NEVER been used. When I was decluttering my apartment, I took this pot out and found it's CRACKED. (See Pics below) I took it with the original package to the Emporium store and they helped me to contact their customer service. Staff in store was polite and willing to help. After ten emails exchanging information. They decided that they will NOT replace or replace the pot as it was damaged by accidents that happened in my apartment. How can we tell if it's a manufacturing fault or customer's misuse? We cannot. The deciding power of this question is up to Le Creuset. If they decided it's customer's fault, there is NO lifetime warranty. In my particular case, is it possible that my pot has manufacturing fault which appears after a few years? More specifically, it is possible that my pot had a very tiny crack at the beginning and it grew to a big one. I do think this is a manufacturing issue. On the contrary, they argued that the product has no manufacturing issues since it was perfect when I received it. In fact, I have not even used it once, how likely is it that I accidentally make it cracked? How easy is it to identify a tiny crack when you first receive the product from a reputable high-quality brand and you are confident about its build quality and 'Lifetime Warranty'? _______________________________________________________________ Their Final Decision: The store offers a '30% good will offer' for me to buy a new pot. (but the store offers whole products 25% off now, so seems like offers nothing) I was quite DISPOINTTED by the decision since it is apparently not aligned with their claim of 'Lifetime Warranty'. According to the brand's Australian official website, i quote, 'warranties its enamelled Cast Iron cookware, from the date of purchase, for the lifetime of the original owner, whether a self purchase or received as a gift.' 'You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.' _______________________________________________________________ Please Please Please, think twice about their 'Lifetime Warranty' claim when you are confident with their promise and their customer service. I hope this review can help you. Thanks for reading from Jeff."
"I went to the Emporium store to buy Christmas gift for family. I felt so disappointed. I was served by a male staff. The way he talked made me feel I am not welcomed. I asked him the sizes of those two sets of mugs on the table, he was a bit rude and impatient to assist me. Anyway I still decided to buy the mugs (5 individuals and 1 set) as I did not have time to go to the store in Doncaster( the service is good there), I asked him if I could pls have 4 more papers to wrap the rest of mugs myself while he was processing the payment for me. I assumed I was wearing a mask that he could not hear me probably, he turned around and asked me you want me to wrap the set for you??? The way he reacted made me feel uncomfortable and being judged . I said I mean please give me 4 more papers I can wrap it myself. I didn’t expect or want him to wrap everything for me. Moreover, those paper are not fancy gift wrapping paper just some basic wrapping paper for ceramic dinning ware in any other stores sell kitchen ware. Not a happy shopping experience at all"
"I purchased Signature Steel Saucepans 4 in total. After first use with two of them , boiling the water adding vegetables 1/2 tsp salt they both pitted. Took them back to place of purchase, after only viewing them, no testing Le Creuset said it was not a manufacturing fault. A word of warning do not purchase these very expensive saucepans. I do own a cast iron casserole which I love. I will never be buying Le Creuset ever again. Customer service is non existent To Le Creuset. Too little too late your automated response is a disgrace. Trying to save face with the public. The store I purchased from David Jones, fully refunded all four saucepans something you would not do. No help from your company. A reminder to all be very wary dealing with this company. Nothing is ever their fault."
"My experience at this store was excellent! I have had a casserole dish for years and love it and decided to purchase another one. The Sales Assistant was Jacqueline. She was very polite, very patient, very knowledgable and very professional. She was happy to price match and stayed back after hours while I made a decision about colour. I was most impressed and walked away very satisfied. It was a lovely experience! Thank you Jacqueline."
