At Mindtalk Counselling, we have a unique background that sets us apart. With over 17 years of experience in the fast-paced world of Investments, our founder made the courageous decision to embark on a significant career and life change by becoming a counsellor. Surprisingly, the skills developed while leading teams in the finance industry perfectly aligned with the emotional and mental wellbeing needed to thrive in high-pressure environments. This realization led to a natural transition into the world of counselling.

For the past two decades, our team has worked and volunteered with a diverse range of individuals, including adults, adolescents, and families. Our experience spans across various settings, from schools and charitable foundations to youth counselling services and private practice. With a Masters in Counselling and a special interest in counselling young people, we have extensive knowledge as a high school mental health facilitator, focusing on topics such as eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, and stress management during the HSC.

At Mindtalk Counselling, we offer a range of services to cater to your needs. Through face-to-face and phone counselling, as well as parenting courses and youth anxiety workshops, we create a safe and therapeutic environment where you and your family members can explore life's challenges. That's why we practice Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, Mindfulness), and Narrative Therapy. Additionally, we offer workshops that provide valuable experiences for both adults and young people. Our specialty lies in facilitating 'Cool Kids' courses, designed to help children, teens, and parents effectively manage anxiety, as well as 'Tuning into teens' courses, which focus on building stronger relationships between parents and teenagers.

With over 20 years of counselling experience, we have helped countless individuals manage a range of issues, including anxiety, major life changes, childhood traumas, domestic violence, depression, grief, and loss.
