Sea Eagle Beach House

"*** UNTRUSTWORTHY, DISRESPECTFUL, TO AVOID*** The owners of this accommodation values profit over customers. They keep refusing to refund us although the accommodation was booked by other guests. They fully took advantage of an unfair situation to increase their incomes. I booked this house through Airbnb. Airbnb has acknowledged the problem and accepted to refund the fees, they still refuse! Who does that? Below is our story We have booked the Sea Eagle Beach House in Safety Beach, through Mornington Peninsula Seastays agency for our yearly holiday, which was unfairly cancelled on us with no refund possible. The agency and owner purposely made a double income on our back, I will never recommend them. When booking we chose the option to pay in two parts. We made the first payment immediately and scheduled the second payment via direct debit. Unfortunately, the second payment (scheduled via direct debit) fell due to registered debit card being expired between the 2 rounds of payment. As a result, our booking was cancelled. When I realised this happened, I immediately emailed Mornington Peninsula Seastays agency who confirmed the house was cancelled and re-booked by other guests and that no refund was possible, meaning that we have lost our holidays as well as our money. However, Mornington Peninsula Seastays agency and the owner made a double income on this property since the Sea Eagle beach house was re-booked by other guests and Mornington Peninsula Seastays agency kept our money, which is totally unfair and beyond understanding. We were hoping we could find an agreement (we offered Mornington Peninsula Seastays agency keep the admin fees and refund the rent), but they firmly closed the door to any discussions. Its demonstrates how the agency values its customers and untrustworthy they can be. We regret that they did not send us a quick email or give us a call to double-check what was the payment issue and if we knew our booking will be cancelled due to payment default. We feel that Mornington Peninsula Seastays and the owner saw the opportunity to make a double income by keeping it quiet. We feel we have been stolen. We are truly disappointed by the owner and Mornington Peninsula Seastays agency's lack of diligence, honesty, trustworthiness, and respect for others. We do not recommend this house and Mornington Peninsula Seastays agency for your holiday accommodation."

"This was our 2nd visit to Sea Eagle. It was even better than last time! The bathroom has been renovated since our last stay. There are lots of little extras we would not expect at a holiday house. Plenty of entertainment, comfy beds and just the right size for our 2 families. We will be back!"
