Operating under the guidance of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd. (MACS), St Mary Magdalen’s School is one of 292 Catholic schools within the Archdiocese. "Due to health reasons I was forced to make a very quick transition, moving to the the suburbs and having to find a new school to enrol my daughter in . As a mental health clinician I have dealt with with many schools/teachers/ Principals and looked at most schools in the area to determine which one fits my daughter's needs. St Mary Magdalen has been an absolute blessing, and my daughter has been embraced with warmth, showered with kindness and has a sense of belonging and being cared for in this beautiful school community. The teachers have a heart centred approach to learning and really provide the felt sense of relational safety, which is essential to ensure children have the foundation to learn and thrive academically. A bonus, is that the classes are smaller than your average school , and the children naturally recieve more direct learning opportunities from teachers. Although this school is Catholic, it embraces all faiths and religions and really has a sense of community, cultural inclusivity and is service oriented . My family is not Catholic, however I'm so happy to have chosen this school. The felt sense transcends across to all families who belong to this school community, and who greet each other every morning with warmth and love. The principal and school leaders are also so kind, humble and have made my daughter feel seen and cared for .If you are new to to the area, or needing to change schools, I absolutely recommend this beautiful school ."
