In 2015, he completed his PhD, focusing on functional and molecular imaging in prostate and head and neck cancer radiation therapy. Dr Chang further honed his expertise by completing a one-year clinical fellowship in stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) and intracranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) at the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada.
