At Nurture One Steel Street, we have created a warm and intimate learning environment that feels like home. Our experienced and qualified educators follow the Early Years Learning Framework, which includes a specialized Kindergarten program taught by a qualified early childhood teacher. This program is designed to prepare children for school and beyond.

Our centre is open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, accommodating the needs of busy families. We also offer centre tours, both in-person and virtual, to give you the opportunity to experience our facilities and meet our qualified educators. These tours allow you to observe practices and interactions within the centre, ask any questions you may have, and gather all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

Additionally, we conduct monthly check-ins to review availability and ensure you are still interested in being on our waitlist. Our Family Support team is always available to provide updates or assist you in finding other G8 early learning centres in your area.

Starting child care can sometimes cause separation anxiety for children. To ease this transition, we recommend visiting the centre together for a Stay and Play session and gradually introducing new routines at home.

When preparing for your child's day at our centre, we provide a list of essential items to bring, tailored to their age group. For nursery children, this may include nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles, spare outfits, and more. For toddlers and preschool-aged children, items like spare underwear, water bottles, sun hats, and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

In terms of health and safety, if your child shows signs of an infectious illness, we may request that you make alternative arrangements or pick them up from the centre. This is to maintain a healthy environment for all children. Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year, without the need for documentation.
