Welcome to Dorset Early Learning & Kindergarten, a family-run child care centre located on Dorset Road in Croydon, Australia. Our dedicated Service Director, Mel, and our team of Qualified Educators are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and educational environment for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years.

At Dorset Early Learning & Kindergarten, we believe in the power of play. Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and is designed to foster social and emotional development, creativity, motor skills, cognitive development, and independence through play. We tailor our programs to children's current interests, ensuring they are engaged and excited about learning.

Our centre provides a play-based learning environment that encompasses both indoor and outdoor activities. We are a Sunsmart centre, offering large shaded areas for children to play in all year round. We also have a community garden with chickens, vegetable gardens, and a bush tucker garden. We teach children about caring for the environment through activities such as composting and worm farms.

Our team of Qualified Educators are passionate about building strong and respectful relationships with both children and their families. We understand the importance of the first five years of a child's life and strive to create a safe and secure environment where they feel a sense of belonging. We provide regular communication to families about their child's daily routines and learning opportunities.

We understand that physical activity is crucial for children's development, promoting stronger bones and muscles and reducing the risk of injuries. As the future becomes increasingly uncertain with globalisation and AI, we are dedicated to preparing children for the challenges they may face.

We also recognize the importance of addressing difficult topics with children, such as death, disease, divorce, and disasters. Our educators are skilled in having these conversations with sensitivity and care.
