The Berwick Neighbourhood Centre is governed by a Committee of Governance, elected at the Annual General Meeting. This committee consists of members from the general community, centre users, and interested individuals who are passionate about shaping the policies and direction of the centre.
At BNC, we believe in fostering cooperation and respect among our members, staff, volunteers, and visitors. We aim to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, valued, and treated with dignity. Our commitment to community development and cohesion is evident in the various programs and special interest groups we offer.
For families with young children, our Learning through Play program is highly recommended. One parent shared, "It's the best program for my 3-year-old, she absolutely loves it. The teachers are lovely, and the activities are cool."
In addition to our programs, we also offer an excellent Function Centre for venue selections in the local community. Whether you're planning a family gathering or a learning event, our venue is perfect for all occasions.

Child safety is of utmost importance to us. We want every child to feel safe, happy, and empowered. We have a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and are committed to treating all concerns seriously. Any allegations or concerns regarding a child's safety and wellbeing will be promptly reported to the appropriate authorities.
Furthermore, we are dedicated to ensuring the cultural safety of all children, including Aboriginal children and those from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive environment for children with disabilities as well.
Our Timbarra location is open from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, and on Fridays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. We invite you to visit us and be a part of our vibrant community at the Berwick Neighbourhood Centre.
