"Making a claim is very easy online. I receive emails on the status of the claim until it is paid. I do pay top cover for my pooch so we do usually receive acceptable benefits. Highly recommend bow wow meow pet insurance for your pets."

"If I could give zero stars I would. I’m writing this review for my mother. Her dog fell I’ll recently and sadly passed away. While the dog was staying at the emergency vet hospital, which each night cost around $2500, and the dog was there for a week the costs added up. Long story short. When your a pensioner you rely on the fact you have pet insurance, my mother paid for the top tier insurance. Her piece of mind was the promise that you would get up to 80% back on your claims. This particular pet insurance company rarely pays you back 80%, my mother was lucky to get back 45% of of her total vet bill. Buyer beware. There are plenty of pet insurance companies out there, so do your homework. As now as well as dealing with the loss of her beloved pet, she also has to cope with the financial loss because the insurance company at the end of the day just take you for as much as they can get. And it doesn’t matter if you are paying for the top cover, at the end of the day they don’t care about you or your pet. My opinion only. Doug D on behalf of Pauline Dixon"

The ease of submitting the claim to having it authorised and paid within 48 hours was just such a breathe of fresh air on how easy and how quick everything was settled... "My poor dog got suddenly unwell and had to be put down within 24 hours. It was devastating and shocking for the whole family. Plus the bill was over 5 K. I had been with Bow Wow Meow for over 8 years and made only minor claims. I made this last claim and initially they offered to pay back only $800! I had to call them and discovered they did not check the Vet medical notes so they used a wrong diagnosis which has a $1000 limit cover. It was not nice having to go through this when we had just lost our dog. However, the Customer Service person was extremely helpful and calm. They helped me sort it out and escalated the claim to their Vet team. I was refunded the right amount the following day! Overall I found them quite professional and humane. Thank you Bow Wow Meow"
