Welcome to 85 Degrees Cafe, located at Hurstville, Forest Road, 238 in Australia. Our cafe is not just your ordinary coffee shop, it is a culinary phenomenon and a new cafe experience for all.
In 2003, our founder, Mr. Cheng-Hsueh Wu, visited a cafe in a 5-star hotel and was astonished by the exorbitant prices of gourmet pastries and drinks. He envisioned a cafe that would provide premium coffee, bread, and cake at affordable prices, and thus the journey of 85 Degrees Cafe began.
Today, we have over 1,000 locations worldwide, with the first U.S. store opening in Irvine, CA in 2008. The opening of our U.S. store became an overnight sensation, with lines out the door and over 5,000 Yelp reviews. We have been featured on TIME, CNN, NPR, and Travel Channel, solidifying our reputation as a culinary phenomenon.

"Bought a box of lao po bing (sweetheart cake) for $6. They were all hard, stale and tasteless. The filling had long dried out and I can only imagine how long they had been out there. I had to throw the whole packet away. Worst $6 I’ve ever spent!!! Don’t go to this place or you’ll risk wasting your hard earned money on expired food."
"Ordered a sparkling grape drink with lychee jelly Saturday morning. There was only on employee (guy with glasses) working he was trying his best to keep up with the line. He was about to hand the drink over to me and then stopped and decided to remake it as it wasn’t fizzy enough. He let me have both drinks. The coconut bread I had was average but the customer service the employee provided made up for it."
"What I can say! Dealing with 85 Hurstville was fantastic from start to finish. I was looking for ‘the combination of zodiac birthday cake with Xmas theme', which it turns out no one really wants to make, but the staff from 85 Hurstville welcomed the challenged with open arms. Guiding me on the best options, what would work, what wouldn't etc You know you're in expert hands and its really like chatting with a friend! Love their cakes, so delicious, and their friendly and professional service! the prices are very reasonable too. Would highly recommend this lovely bakery store :)"
"Never to be returned... Horribly weak coffee and flavoured tea, and the desserts (mainly cakes / pastries) looked colourful but dried / hard. - wouldn't dare to try. Services was below average, we were the only customers but still took us 5 mins to order 4 drinks because they ran out of basic ingredients and the staff had no idea what's on the menu. It was another 5 mins later that the staff came back to us to inform us about having no full-cream milk. We were served with paper cups even we were sitting inside. The whole place was very dirty and messy, we were there at around 2100 and there weren't any other customers. The few staff there couldn't be bothered to clean up their handful of sticky tables (still have half-full cups) / seats..."
