Reviews
"Friendly staff and surprisingly great effort, taste and value they put into the food and plating. 5 stars for the food and the service! I'd just recommend the owner that maintenance for this cute little cafe is long overdue. The shelves are dusty, plants seem to be "dripping" off shelves and dying, and the tables/chairs are all crooked. It isn't fair on the staff or the customer, that enter to a once cute vibey astmosphere to now a well worn out spot. A clean up is badly needed then little maintenance every month going forward will keep the place alive and vibrant, which is long deserved for those working and visiting the cafe."
"The Usual Cafe is, undoubtedly, one of the best cafés in the Cabramatta area and they do not mess about. They serve exceptional food and coffee that will surely excite your tastebuds all day long! This is the place to go if you are looking for some serious coffee in the Cabramatta area. The Usual team will always travel the extra mile to make sure that you have a wonderful dining experience and that you leave the restaurant with nothing but satisfaction. As of writing this, times are rough these days so please be understanding of any shortcomings, everyone is trying their absolute best to please as much as possible with extreme limitations. Let's do our best to support local business!"
"I normally don’t bother writing a review, but this was the worst cafe experience ever. The waitress looked like she was done with life and didn’t want to be there. She saw us at the door when we arrived, but looked away and continued on behind the kitchen. It was not until the chef told her we were still waiting that she reluctantly seated us 5 minutes later. Ordered our coffees to be in take out cups, and after 22 minutes, she had brought out one in a take out cup, and the other in a glass cup stating “we ran out of take out cups” - a straight up lie. 47 minutes after the order, we were still waiting for our food. The couple next to us said they had waited over an hour for theirs. We could not wait any longer and asked the same waitress whether we can get a refund. She said no, “they already started cooking” (another straight up lie), we had ordered pancakes and could clearly see the kitchen was not even working on the pancakes. The other girl behind the counter was nice enough to refund us for the food, and provide us with a take out cup (the same cups that they had apparently “ran out of” earlier) for the other coffee. We do not appreciate being straight up lied to. Never coming back here again."
"Went there while passing by cabramatta on a road trip. After reading reviews, to be honest my partner and I were expecting a larger cafe with a bit more people in it. I guess to be a bit fair we walked in an hour before closing and there was only 1 table taken at the time. Deco was lacking but didn't really expect much ambience at that point. I ordered shakshuka and my partner ordered the big breakfast. I actually had to swap with him as the eggs in the shakshuka were raw (I'm pregnant and not allowed to eat raw eggs) which we were both fine with. Big breakfast had a pleasantly larger quantity than I'd expect. For one, I didn't expect their big breakfast to have grilled halloumi and spinach which were both cooked and seasoned well respectively. I dipped a bit of sourdough into the shakshuka avoiding the raw egg portion and the shakshuka was tasty! (Of course it didn't end there and ended up dipping the sauce a good few times) The green juice was refreshing and sweet as well."
"Shakshuka with sourdough bread - the flavours of the tomatoey spiced sauce was on point, but sadly the eggs were a bit over cooked. Corn fritters - Very tasty and visually appealing dish. I'd definitely come back to try all the other delicious dishes I saw on the menu! The cafe is airy with a lot of natural light. Very relaxed vibe. Definitely does not feel like you're in Cabramatta. Update: I went back a few more times, more pics to add"
