"We paid over $350 for a diagnostic visit due to our A/C not blowing hot and coming up with a C5 fault code. Subsequent to this, they told us that the circuit board and a thermistor were faulty and needed to be replaced. The bill was to be $1700 and included $1000 for a circuit board. There was also the clause that there was not guarantee that this would fix it. We then had the system looked at by another technician, who told us that the suggested work did not fit with the C5 fault code. He adjusted a sensor and the system now works fine. I explained this to Pen.Air who refused a refund (due to the false diagnosis)."
"Had a Daikin 8kw multi split system with 4 units installed in a townhouse with 3 bedrooms in September 2022 . Install went ahead as scheduled and the installation team problem solved really well on the day as our townhouse is tricky double brick without any cavities to work with. The team were finished in 1 day and cleaned up very well after themselves. We only had 2 very minor issues post install which was one of the units were connected incorrectly and the cover from our switch box went missing. Both issues were resolved promptly and without any fuss, and before we were even sent an invoice to pay for the installation. They took the time to explain how to use the units and operate the controller and understand all the different modes. We've run the units over summer most days and majority of the night times in the main bedroom to combat the humidity. Pleasantly surprised that our bill was only $500 for the whole of summer quarter (Dec to March) and have only needed to run the units on the low night time setting at 21 deg. Overall extremely satisfied and happy we chose Peninsular Air to do our install, would highly recommend them & their team."
"These guys were great! They were so professional and friendly! I would definitely recommend them. I have a 7 month old baby and they were very considerate in working around his sleep schedule for working in his room and making noise. I also have 2 little dogs who have been known to wriggle free through a doorway and they were very conscious of making sure that the dogs stayed inside which was a great relief off my day. We had some trouble with the neighbours being difficult as well and they were very helpful with providing explanations and diagrams to strata. I couldn't imagine going with any other company."
"When Penair did the initial install of our system I would have provided them 5 stars. They were timely and installed the system at a fixed price. There was a minor issue with two vents that were not screwed in properly, but I didn't mind fixing those myself considering the size of the overall job. Based on the initial job I recommended them to my neighbour who also had their system installed as a result. However, Penair follow up and servicing has been incredibly poor, resulting in me lodging a formal complaint to them, asking multiple times to have someone call me to discuss, yet I received kurt responses like "Clearly we cannot meet your expectations. All the best, and goodbye. Cheers Rod" of which I responded "Hi Rod - I would suggest that you haven't tried. You could have called to at least clarify things. You guys did a good job on the install, but failed on follow up and service. It's a shame. Cheers". The breakdown In my experience with Penair started with the Daikin SkyFi product that cost $600 and was supposed to allow us to control the system via an app. It rarely worked, the app has one of the worst ratings in the app store and when we asked Penair to address this, they passed us off to Daikin directly until I informed them it's they can't do that, then promised to address the issue with Daikin, but never followed through, even after chasing them on the point multiple times. Our Daikin system is now 6 yrs old and barely functional. We had multiple services during this period by Penair. 9 months after the last service, the zone controller stopped functioning. I asked Penair to come and have a look at it, they insisted that I had to pay the cost of a full annual service again, call out fee and 2hrs labour, this would then provide me with a quote for repair (cost and time). Even if the issue is something trivial and takes minutes to fix, I have to pay and do the full annual service regardless. Considering that I live 5mins from their office, there's minimal travel time either. I now realise that Penair are the only business that will service Daikin in the area and it feels like they set their terms accordingly. In fact based on the complexity of the controller and terrible service and support when trying to deal with Daikin directly, I would strongly advise against Daikin. Our previous home had a Mitsubishi system, it was so much easier to use and more reliable. Now that Penair refuse to help us with an issue with zone control of the current system, repairers have declined to take our job to look at the system, because they said they refuse to deal with Daikin, if they need parts, they basically can't get them or sit on hold for hours. Based on my experience Penair's service and the Directors lack of willingness to attempt to talk an issue through means that you'll be exposed if you need anything rectified. They are very processed focussed, you'll see that from all the rules they provide when you deal with them, but they totally fail around providing a customer outcome. Based on our long term review of Daikin - avoid! Systems like Mitsubishi are so much easier to use and considerably more reliable with a load more options for servicing so you don't get left in the position that we are."

I was impressed by the attention to detail during the installation and the result of the finished job. It works perfectly and looks great. I would never hesitate to recommend Peninsula Air Conditioning to those who appreciate a quality installation at a fair and reasonable cost."
