Old Quarter Cafe

"My first visit, had trouble choosing from the lovely all day menu, with all the western brunches, some Asian and fusion options. Ended up eating from the gourmet sandwiches section and chose a well prepared and presented Vietnamese roll. Loved all the drinks options here to and steered away from my usual coffee for a Custard coconut coffee instead. It was really good, as was the friendly attentive service. The Old Quarter Cafe is also spacious, and comfortable. Definitely going back to try some brunch options."

"Have been to this cafe many times now, they excell in service by bringing you water the second you sit down even when busy, the staff are extremely friendly. When quoted an incorrect price for a side / add on as to cheap on accident the staff member came out and said it would be extra and if I would like to proceed instead of jsut adding it. The value for money is amazing with my jumbo bacon and egg roll at time of posting being $12 for double filling and $8 for normal. Already fairly priced considering the bun is fresh and gourmet. Same for the chicken schnitzel sandwich which was $17 at time of posting. They have a very wide range of food as well as drinks including smoothies. The coffee here is strong tasting however I do not see that as a flaw. It tastes like an extra shot every time so weak is normal what you would expect elsewhere. All in all I have not had a bad experience coming here. Look for the Central 105 sign on the main road to Lane Cove, next to red cross and oppisite Lane Cove Doctors. You get seats outside if you would like too which has traffic driving past and some in sun and some not as well as seats inside."

"I could not fault my experience at this popular Lane Cove Cafe. Once seated at my table I was quickly waited upon by a friendly staff member. It also didn't take for my breakfast bruschetta to arrive. I would highly recommend this dish, consisting of a crispy base of soy and linseed toast, topped with roasted cherry tomatoes, chopped avocado and a sweet glaze with side serve of two poached eggs. Top marks for presentation and taste. This place, like many cafes gets quite busy on weekends."

"I can't believe how many times I've walked right by this place and not realised how great it is. We had great truffled eggs and omelette, and the truffled eggs especially were AMAZING. Served in a little cast iron pot with a nice crust around the eggs and cheese, so creamy and truffly and delicious. The omelette was pretty standard, still good but not mind blowing. This was also my first time trying hot Vietnamese drip coffee and I know I'll be back here just for that. I couldn't believe how good it was! Such a nice Cafe with good decor, friendly staff, really happy I came here today."

"One of my favourite cafes in the Lane Cove area. The only place using Campos beans, and their coffee is delicious. One of the most impressive things is their price. The regular coffee costs $3.50 (at this time of review), the lowest price I know in this area. Able to sit inside and outside in a friendly atmosphere. Their food is also great. My recommendations are Bacon Egg roll and Port Vietnamese Roll, They also provide Wifi with a good speed (50Mbps). If you are local or looking for coffee in this place, put it on your bucket list! You'll surely like it :)"
