In addition to our conservation efforts, we are excited to share some exciting news about the positive impact our community has made. With the introduction of the new weekly food and garden bin service, Knox residents have already managed to cut their landfill waste in half. An impressive 1900 tonnes of food scraps and other organic materials have been diverted to be transformed into nutrient-rich compost. We are proud to be part of this sustainable initiative.
Furthermore, we are delighted to announce that Talaskia Reserve will be hosting the highly anticipated Women on the Go annual business networking event on the 14th of September. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals to connect, collaborate, and empower each other. At Talaskia Reserve, we believe in the power of small changes. We are inspired by a Ferntree Gully family of seven who are actively reducing waste as part of the council's weekly food and garden service. By turning their food and garden waste into compost, they are making a significant difference in creating a more sustainable future.
Lastly, we would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the City of Knox, the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. We are grateful for their ongoing connection to the land and their stewardship of its natural resources.

"Very good Park with basketball court, mini tennis court, playground and an oval. Sufficient parking and a track around the playground to ride bikes or push the pram. Could do with a toilet for kids as they can easily spend a good hour or two here."
"Great little park for those visiting the hospital, clean public toilets with change tables, two swings and a decent sized climbing/slide area, some exercise equipment, a great little basketball, tennis, scooter park up a bit higher and some rusty geometric kangaroos, all next to a big oval."
"Another great place to take the grand kids. It has a play ground small tennis court n basket ball court. It also has a bike, skate board track,barbecues water bubble n all out side . Good to spend a day there without the kids getting bored ."
