About the Business

Welcome to JW Manson Reserve, a stunning establishment located in Wantirna, Australia. This park is not just your ordinary tourist attraction, but a place where you can truly connect with nature and celebrate the beauty of our native animals and plants.
As spring blossoms in the air, JW Manson Reserve is buzzing with excitement, dedicating the entire month of September to honor and raise awareness about our endangered species. Join us in this noble cause as we work towards preserving and protecting these precious creatures and their habitats.
In addition to our conservation efforts, we are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the new weekly food and garden bin service. Knox residents have already made a remarkable impact, reducing the amount of rubbish going to landfill by half and diverting a staggering 1900 tonnes of food scraps and organics to be transformed into nutrient-rich compost. Together, we are making a positive change for our environment.
Mark your calendars for September 14th, as JW Manson Reserve will be hosting the highly anticipated Women on the Go annual business networking event. This is an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and expand your professional network. Secure your tickets now to ensure your place at this inspiring event.
We are proud to share the story of a Ferntree Gully family of seven who are actively embracing the weekly food and garden service. By making small changes in their daily routine, they are reducing waste and contributing to the creation of compost. Their dedication serves as an inspiration for all of us to do our part in building a sustainable future.
At JW Manson Reserve, we deeply respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the City of Knox, the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. Their rich cultural heritage and connection to the land are an integral part of the park's identity, and we strive to honor and preserve their traditions.
So come and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of JW Manson Reserve. Explore the walking trails, breathe in the fresh air, and witness the wonders of Australia's unique flora and fauna. Join us in our mission to protect and celebrate our environment, and together, let's create a brighter future for generations to come.
Reviews
"Beautilful stretch of grass but as a winter playing fields these become a swamp. To train or play on them is a joke with ankle deep puddles of water and liquid mud oozing up around the tops of your shoes. The drainage is non existant!! The money spent on the new club house could have been better spent on upgrading drainage on these fields for year round usage for the people that really use them...the players!! Maroondah Council when will do something about upgrading the drainage?"
"The facilities at Manson Reserve are fantastic however the ground condition is average at best. The weather has obviously been terrible which has resulted in the ground being very boggy and in most part section are so soft and wet underfoot that it is unusable."
"Nice walking track with lots of birds, ducks & trees."
"Always nice to take a walk, took my German exchange student here and he loved it."
"The actual reserve is only the wooded area, but popularity has named the whole area including the ovals. To the west is a fenced off conservation area that contains an old billabong, not that it has a lot of water these days. To the east at the back of the ovals woodland persists. There are a few little trails through the woods but it can be quite dense. While here look out for the sugar gliders, one of the remaining habits for them. To the north is the Dandenong Trail and then Dandenong creek."
