About the Business

Welcome to Walter Galt Reserve, a beautiful establishment located in Parkdale, Australia. Situated on Warren Road, 115, this park is a point of interest that offers a wonderful recreational experience for visitors of all ages.
At Walter Galt Reserve, we strive to create a better framework for Kingston's community grants. As part of our commitment to inclusive decision-making, we have launched the second stage of consultation for our proposed new community grants model. This ensures that we address the evolving needs of our community and provide support where it is most needed.
One of Kingston's visionary projects is the Mordialloc/Aspendale crossing removal project. Our design response for this project focuses on enhancing safety, improving pedestrian and cycling connectivity, creating new active areas, and incorporating more green spaces. This will not only benefit the local community but also contribute to a more sustainable and vibrant environment.
We are thrilled to announce that our new Aquatic and Leisure Centre concept has received overwhelming support from the community. With the green light given to the concept plan, we are excited to bring this state-of-the-art facility to Kingston. The Aquatic and Leisure Centre will provide a range of recreational opportunities for residents and further enhance the quality of life in our city.
In celebration of Biodiversity Month, we have partnered with nine neighboring councils to organize the Biodiversity Blitz 2023. This event encourages everyone to explore the outdoors, connect with nature, and contribute to citizen science. By downloading our app and uploading photos of flora and fauna in Kingston, you can actively participate in this exciting initiative.
We also offer various programs and services for families in our community. All parents or caregivers, along with their babies, toddlers, and preschool children, are invited to join us for a free morning of learning and socializing through play. Through our Kingston Libraries, Kingston Arts, Waves Leisure Centre, Youth Services, and AccessCare, we aim to support and nurture the well-being of individuals and families.
As we embark on this journey of community development, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation, who are the Traditional Owners and Custodians of this land. We honor their Elders, both past and present, and emerging, and recognize their ongoing connection to country. To learn more, please read our full Acknowledgement of Country.
Visit Walter Galt Reserve today and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and community spirit that defines Kingston. Experience the joy and serenity this park has to offer, and be a part of our vision for a vibrant and inclusive city.
Reviews
"Excellent cricket ground and club facilities. Great oval to watch cricket."
"Great little park usually not so busy. Nice place to take time out. There are not many features. If out side is where you are then that's great enjoy."
"Not really for adventurous breeds, like Huskies! No gate to keep them in. Good, though, for less adventurous breeds to run and play on an oval without a lead."
"A nice park to let the dogs have a good run around! Great for frisbees and balls with the dogs, and plenty of open space to avoid others if needed. Area is generally kept tidy with bins located at the outskirts of the park. There's also a water fountain for dogs which is useful. Not always clear when there are sports on the field which does reduced the available area to take your dog for a walk/play, but you can go around the other side of the park if needed. Lots of cricket played (Kingston Hawks) and a great place to hang out for parents while matches are being played."
"Currently the home of the Kingston Hawks cricket club, great spot to hangout for a good game of cricket. Friendly bunch of lads and good atmosphere. Has a rich history of over 150 years of cricket."
