"Sheeeeeesh mid school kinda dissapointed"
"Im writing this review on behalf of all the students who attended and graduated in recent years. More specifically those who attended the school from 2018 onwards. Most students who attended during this period i'm sure will recall the shift away from culture in the school with the abandonment of many school traditions. This abandonment of traditions marks the beginning of Marist Eastwood becoming an ATAR factory. As i'm sure ATAR is the biggest selling point for parents to send their children to the College, the school shifted care from a mix of education and student life to pure education. While i know this may sound great after all that is why we attended school. Marist College Eastwood in recent years took this to an extreme. Taking away the post HSC awards ceremony from the students. I know many students who worked tirelessly in their HSC years to achieve dux, and dreamt of reading out their speech to all the students, parents and teachers at the awards ceremony to only have it stripped from them. In addition the high number of students excited to receive their awards for receiving a band 6 for all their hard work, not even being allowed to dress up and return to the college to see and thank all of their old teachers. While this is just one example that I have provided there are countless traditions that were stripped away I just find this to be the one that affected many students the most."
